See who owes whom as the month goes on. Settle the full amount or just part of it, add a note, and look back at every payment in your settlement history.

Set aside savings each month and watch your history build. The app suggests an amount from your month's numbers, using a percentage you choose.

Premium is available as a monthly or yearly plan through Google Play, and the yearly plan starts with a free trial for new subscribers. Cancel any time in the Play Store. If you stop Premium, nothing is deleted — your older months stay in your Google Sheet.

We can't see your budget
There's no Happy Couple server holding your finances. The app talks straight to your Google account, and only touches the file it created for you.

Frequently asked questions
Is Happy Couple free?
Yes. Logging incomes and expenses, splitting, settling up, savings and your latest 3 months of history are free with no time limit. Premium is optional.
Do we both need to buy Premium?
No. When one of you has Premium, it unlocks for both of you in your shared budget.
Where is our money data stored?
In a Google Sheet in the Google Drive of the person who created the budget, shared with their partner. Happy Couple has no server that stores your budget, and the app can only access the file it created.
What happens to our data if we stop Premium?
Nothing is deleted. The app goes back to showing your latest 3 months, and everything older stays in your Google Sheet. Upgrade again and it all reappears in the app.
Can we split costs unevenly?
Yes. Split in proportion to your incomes, or set a fixed ratio such as 60/40. With Premium, individual categories can have their own split, for example 50/50 on groceries while rent follows your incomes.
Can we edit our budget on a computer?
Yes. Your budget is a Google Sheet, so you can open it in Google Sheets on any computer to make bulk edits, sort and filter expenses, or review your history. Changes stay in sync with the app.
Do I need to know how to use spreadsheets?
No. The app creates and fills in the sheet for you, and you can do everything from your phone. The spreadsheet is there for when you want it.
Is there an iPhone version?
Happy Couple is launching on Android through Google Play first.
